This was a commission for a local business owner. The purpose of this piece was to simultaneously give a feeling of stillness and motion. When most people think of a tree, the imagery that comes to mind is either of one swaying or one just being still. A lone tree does not move from it's position; it is immobile. Yet, the wind can cause it to seem to be "alive".
